Referral code field notes

A neutral reading of rummy referral codes — what the referrer gets, what the referee gets, and the terms that affect both.

Most rummy platforms run a referral system that rewards both the existing user (referrer) and the new user (referee) when the referee signs up, deposits, and meets minimum play requirements. The terms are usually friendly on both sides. This page walks through the four terms that decide whether a referral is worth using.

How the two-side bonus works

A referral code is a private identifier that ties a new account to the referrer's account. When the referee (the new user) signs up using the code and meets the minimum play requirements, both the referrer and the referee receive a credit.

The credit is typically small — between ₹50 and ₹500 — and is subject to the same wagering multiplier as the welcome bonus. The exact figure and the terms are stated on the platform's referral page.

The two sides of the referral are tracked independently. The referee can complete their side without the referrer's involvement, and the referrer receives their credit when the referee's qualifying action is verified.

Minimum play requirements

A referral usually requires the referee to complete a minimum deposit and a minimum number of hands before the credit is released. The terms vary, but the structure is uniform.

ConditionTypical rangeWhy it varies
Minimum deposit₹100–₹500Anti-fraud check, not a revenue driver.
Minimum hands5–20 handsConfirms the referee is a real player, not a duplicate account.
Time window7–30 days after signupEncourages early engagement.
One-time per refereeYesMultiple referrals from the same circle are tracked individually.

If the minimum hands are not met within the time window, the referral is voided. The referee can still play, but the credit is not released to either side.

Sharing the code, where to find it

Most platforms surface the referral code in the account's referral or invite panel. The code is usually a short alphanumeric string.

Step 1: Open the platform's referral panel. The panel is usually under "Account" or "Promotions".

Step 2: Copy the code. The platform provides a copy button for desktop and a share button for mobile.

Step 3: Share the code with friends who are not yet on the platform. The share button can send via SMS, WhatsApp or email.

Step 4: Track the referral status. The referral panel shows the number of referees who have signed up, the number who have met the minimum, and the credits earned.

Referral + welcome bonus, can they combine?

In most cases, yes. The referral and the welcome bonus are typically separate credit systems, with separate wagering multipliers and separate time windows.

The referee's first deposit triggers the welcome bonus. The referee enters the referral code at signup, and the referral credit is released after the minimum play. The two credits coexist on the account, and the wagering is calculated separately for each.

Check the platform's terms for the specific combination. Some platforms restrict the referral to referrals made within the first 30 days of the referee's signup, so the timing matters.

Referral misuse, the three patterns to avoid

Referral systems are routinely abused through three patterns. The platforms detect all three, and the consequence is forfeiture of the referral credit and possible account closure.

Pattern 1: Self-referral. Creating a second account to refer yourself. Detected by device fingerprinting, IP logging, and KYC reuse.

Pattern 2: Multi-account collusion. A group of friends creating accounts to refer each other and cash out the credit. Detected by transaction-pattern analysis.

Pattern 3: Stolen referral codes. Sharing or selling referral codes that are not yours. Detected by referrer identity verification.

Comparing two referral offers side by side

A short worked example to show how the terms combine.

TermOffer AOffer B
Referrer credit₹200₹100
Referee credit₹100₹200
Minimum deposit₹500₹100
Minimum hands105
Time window14 days30 days

Offer A is the better fit for a confident referrer who wants a higher share. Offer B is the better fit for a referee who is still deciding which platform to commit to.

Referral questions, answered plainly

Is the referral code the same as the bonus code?

No. The referral code is a separate identifier. The bonus code is typically used for welcome offers; the referral code is used for friend-invitation offers.

Can I use my own referral code on a new account?

No. Self-referral is detected and the credit is forfeited. The platform may also close the duplicate account.

What happens if the referee doesn't meet the minimum hands?

The referral is voided. Neither side receives the credit. The referee can still play, but the referrer does not earn the credit.

Is the referral credit cash-outable?

Only after the wagering requirement is met. The credit is locked until the wagering is cleared, like any other bonus.
